Reports to the Executive Director


Job Description:   Foster a strong, positive presence for Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity in the community by effectively communicating its mission and goals. Drive revenue and achieve profitability targets through strategic management and marketing of ReStore products, while leading the team in supervising, training, and motivating all ReStore volunteers and staff. Ensure exceptional customer service for donors and customers, and create a rewarding experience for volunteers at the ReStore.


Responsibilities

Update, adhere to, and reinforce ReStore Policies and Procedures.

Oversee all personnel.

Hold meetings as needed to disseminate information and cultivate the staff.

Recruit, train, and schedule volunteers and staff to develop strong volunteer support.

Coach others to be an ambassador for RVHFH programs.

Provide sustained network development, and collaborative relationships with the community.

Open and close the store as scheduled or needed.

Handle bank deposits, cashier drawer closeouts, safe counts and daily/monthly reporting.

Respond to daily calls, voicemails and emails.

Create goals and daily task lists.

Operate cashier drawer and process customer returns as necessary.

Oversee floor layout and merchandising of displays; arrange inventory to best utilize floor space and price inventory to turnover aging stock.

Collaborate with the Manville ReStore for marketing, donations, deliveries, and other ReStore needs.

Oversee pricing of inventory and employee/volunteer pricing efforts.

Offer excellent customer service to shoppers and donors.

Ensure a safe environment and that best safety practices are used.

Manage inventory of maintenance and office supplies.

Oversee general maintenance and security of the facility.

Maintain updated store signage for events.

Identify and initiate opportunities to reduce expenses and create increased operational efficiencies.

Maintain Employee hourly work records and conduct annual employee reviews.

Sustain volunteer hourly work and personal records in collaboration with the Office Manager.

Attend or participate in training as needed or required.

Other duties may be assigned.


Qualifications and Skills

Experience in retail and/or ReStores preferred.

Ability to model appropriate behavior in interaction with diverse donors, customers, volunteers, and staff.

Ability to demonstrate a high level of ethics, integrity, diplomacy, initiative, and enthusiasm.

Maintain all information confidentially and professionally.

Strong planning and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Solid communication skills to clearly and effectively express ideas and to network.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite marketing preferred.

Familiarity with social media and social media marketing preferred.

Ability to effectively merchandise products.

Able to lift to 40 lbs. or team lift.

Willingness to work some nights and weekends.

Must pass a Criminal Background Check and Sexual Offender Check.
