SCBP’s Laura DePrado Recognized for Outstanding Community Leadership

Somerset, NJ – October 29, 2025 – The Somerset County Business Partnership (SCBP) proudly congratulates member and ambassador Laura DePrado, Founder and President of Final Touch Plantscaping, LLC, on receiving the 2025 Steve Kalafer Community Leadership Award at The Adult Day Center of Somerset County’s Fourteenth Annual Generations Gala, held on October 28, 2025.

This prestigious award recognizes individuals who exemplify exceptional leadership, dedication, and service to the Somerset County community—qualities that have long defined DePrado’s work and advocacy. Known regionally and statewide for her pioneering contributions to horticultural therapy, DePrado has enriched countless lives through programs that connect people, plants, and purpose.

The Steve Kalafer Community Leadership Award was established to honor the late business and community leader Steve Kalafer, whose impact on Somerset County continues to inspire civic engagement and philanthropy. The Adult Day Center of Somerset County, which provides essential programs and services for older adults and their caregivers, hosts the Generations Gala annually to celebrate partnerships and leadership that strengthen the community.
