RideWise Receives 23 Bikes for BikeConnect at Earth Day Bike Drive

May is Bike Month! We’re kicking it off by celebrating all the bike donations we received for our BikeConnect program during our Earth Day Bike Drive last month. BikeConnect, done in partnership with Pops Bike Shop in Somerville, is a bicycle rehabilitation program that repairs donated bicycles and gives them to adults who need reliable transportation for employment.

Over the course of two days, both at our table in front of Pops Bike Shop and at an additional drop-off location at Somerville Environmental Commission’s Green Festival, we collected a total of 23 bikes! Thank you to all who donated a bike, and thank you to Pops Bike Shop and Somerville Environmental Commission for partnering with us to collect bikes! Your donations will change the lives of so many in our community who are in need of transportation to work.
