Bringing Eo-Mobility Workshops to Local Businesses
Did you know RideWise offers a wide variety of eco-mobility workshops for our business and community partners? We recently partnered with Sergeant Christopher Rokicki, a retired traffic safety specialist at the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office, to present on two topics at M&E Engineers: Distracted Driving and Avoiding Roadway Emergencies. In these workshops, M&E employees learned how to understand the risks and impact of distracted driving, and learned proactive measures to prevent roadway emergencies, including handling mechanical failures and addressing aggressive driving.
“RideWise is a valuable resource for the local community,” said Drew DePalma, M&E’s Director of Operations. “Their educational sessions have been well received by our staff and their trainers are experienced and knowledgeable.”
“In 2012 we began a Traffic Safety Alliance Group at the county level whose goal it remains to make the roadways safer for all. RideWise has been instrumental in assisting me with providing the “drive safely” message throughout Somerset County,” said Sergeant Rokicki. “Our partnership has enabled me to speak with groups at different companies to talk about the dangers of Distracted Driving, Impaired Driving and the importance of Safe, courteous and responsible driving. I look forward to continuing to work toward our common goal of safer roads.”

- “Pedal Smart: Essential Bike Safety for All Ages” – Highlights safety and maintenance while appealing to families and individuals.
- “Let’s Take the Bus: Navigating Transportation in Somerset County” – Focuses on mobility solutions while emphasizing accessibility for diverse audiences.
- “Idle No More: Driving Cleaner, Smarter, and Healthier” – Engaging and calls for action to stop idling, aligning with sustainability goals.
- “Eyes on the Road: The Dangers of Distracted Driving” – Clear and impactful, focusing on awareness and prevention.
- “Safe Travels: Parents’ Guide to Driving with Kids and Teen Driving Laws” – Parent-friendly program that highlights both child seat laws and teen driver education.
- “Stay Ahead: Mastering Roadway Emergencies” – Proactive and empowering, emphasizing readiness and safety.
