Somerset Children's Center is looking for a Speech and Language Pathologist

The Somerset Children's Center is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Speech and Language Pathologist to join our team serving young children and families in a supportive early childhood environment.

Our center has proudly provided high-quality educational and therapeutic services to children for decades, with a strong focus on helping every child reach their fullest potential.

Position Details:

• $80 per hour
• Flexible hours available
• Part-time opportunity in a warm, collaborative setting

Responsibilities:

• Provide speech and language therapy services to children with varying developmental and communication needs
• Develop individualized treatment goals and therapy plans
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, administrators, and families
• Maintain documentation and progress reports
• Create engaging, child-centered therapeutic activities
• Support and implement communication strategies using AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices when appropriate

Qualifications:

• Current New Jersey Speech and Language Pathologist license/certification
• Experience working with young children preferred
• Experience working with children on the autism spectrum strongly preferred
• Experience using AAC devices is required
• Experience with the DIR/Floortime approach is strongly preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Passion for supporting children with diverse abilities
