Part-Time GAME HOST role at Ultimate Xscape Rooms in Somerville, NJ

We are a family-owned local small business. We design, build and host immersive, interactive private escape room experiences for friends & family groups and corporate & non-profit teams. Our mission is to provide a fun and engaging experience for each and every one of our guests.

In the Game Host role, you will be interacting with a wide variety of guests (e.g., ages, experience level, group size) as well as working collaboratively with your fellow team members.

Game Hosts play a key role in delivering a fun, customized experience for all guests by:

• Greeting and Welcoming Guests
• Providing the Pre-Game Orientation & Safety Rules
• Guiding Groups (of 2-8 people)
• Monitoring the Group’s Progress and Providing Helpful Hints as requested/needed
• Delivering a Personalized Experience
• Delivering a Post-Game Debrief and Taking Team Photos

Other Game Host Duties:

• Demonstrating operational excellence by:
  • Ensuring game components function properly (maintenance)
  • Using walkthrough and reset sheets to accurately reset games
  • Cleaning games and the building
  • Restocking inventory
• Efficiently managing interactions in the Reception Area by:
  • Checking in teams
  • Ensuring all participants have completed the required Waiver 
  • Accurately making reservations
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Flexible year-round availability. This is not a seasonal job.
• This role works weekends (and some holidays). 
• If you are unavailable at all Friday through Sunday, then the Game Host position may not be a good fit.
• Must be 17 years of age or older
