Health Occupations Instructor

Somerset County Vocational-Technical High School is looking for a Health Occupations Instructor for its Career and Technical Education (CTE) program.

QUALIFICATIONS:                        1. High School Diploma or equivalent

                                                                                   AND

                                                           Minimum of six (6) years of trade or field experience

OR

    Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Medical Assisting and two (2) years of approved experience in trade.

                        OR

      Associate’s Degree in Licensed Practical Nursing or Medical Assisting and two (2) years of approved experience in trade.

2. Valid and appropriate New Jersey Teacher of Medical Assisting  (Endorsement Code 4125, 2526) or Health Occupation (Endorsement Code 2629, 4124) or Nursing Assistants (Endorsement Code 2567, 4127) or Practical Nursing (Endorsement Code 2670) or General Health Sciences (Endorsement Code 4200) certification.

3. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:           Ten-month year.  In accordance with negotiated Agreement.
