Colonial Park/Spray Park Manager

Position Type: Full-Time / Seasonal

Job Summary:

The Somerset County Park Commission is seeking a dedicated and hands-on Recreation Complex Manager to oversee daily operations at the Colonial Park Recreation Complex, which includes a putting course, paddleboats, and spray park. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring facility maintenance, and providing excellent customer service to park visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the putting course, paddleboats, and spray park.
• Maintain, operate, and troubleshoot facility equipment, including sand and cartridge filters, paddleboats, putters, and ball return systems.
• Monitor and maintain proper chemical levels at the spray park to ensure water safety.
• Schedule shifts and supervise facility attendants.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for all visitors.
• Utilize and manage the facility’s point of sale system for admissions, rentals, and reconciling deposits.
• Operate and maintain small power tools such as a power washer, small pool vacuum, and leaf blower.
• Provide outstanding customer service and effectively communicate with staff and patrons.

Qualifications:

• Strong leadership and staff management experience.
• Knowledge of pool/spray park filtration systems and water chemistry is preferred.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and other software programs
• Experience working with a point-of-sale system.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
