We are looking for an Assistant Manager to be the face of our new swim school opening under Big Blue Swim School. No swim experience necessary! 
 

Big Blue Swim School is a fast-growing, mission-driven company that aims to show kids they can do anything by unlocking their full potential in the water.  We are hiring for an Assistant Manager to help run the daily activities of the Swim Associates and adhere to the Big Blue Swim School standards.  We are looking for candidates with strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills and we will provide all necessary training for lesson and pool related responsibilities. 
 
Position Overview: 
    The Assistant Manager serves as a right hand to the General Manager.  They are responsible for the daily activities of the Swim Associates and adherence to Big Blue processes and procedures. The Assistant Manager has previous years of management experience, is an effective communicator, great problem solver, and mentor to staff. The AM is required to lead or co-leading swim associate training as needed. 
 
Key Responsibilities: 

• Coach and instruct teachers in providing safe and effective swim lessons 

• Ensure teachers are adhering to Big Blue Swim School principles and curriculum 

• Enforce all safety procedures and required certifications 

• Conduct daily monitoring and review of student progress 

• Communicate with parents/customers on a regular basis to provide appropriate status updates and a high level of customer service 

• Ensure efficient building operations including cleanliness, water quality, and pump room operations 

Qualifications: 

• 2+ years of proven ability to manage large hourly staff 

• Ability to lead or co-lead Swim Associate training as needed 

• Ability to multi task in a fast-paced environment 

• Excellent customer service skills 

• Love working with kids and helping them grow 

• Ability to work in the pool as needed 

• Able to work evenings and weekends  

• Enjoys having fun 

• High School Diploma/GED required 

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and move regularly throughout the facility to continuously interact with customers and staff 

• Will train for lifeguard, CPR, CPO certifications
