Who will lead the sessions?

Dennis C. Miller, Founder & Chair of DCM Associates, Inc. and author of The Importance of Nonprofit Board Leadership: A Guide to Creating a Highly Successful Nonprofit Board and four other best-selling books on nonprofit board governance and leadership. Dennis is a nationally recognized nonprofit board and executive leadership coach and CEO and C-Suite executive search consultant with four decades of experience working with nonprofit board leadership and chief executives across the country. Dennis is an expert in board governance, leadership development, philanthropy and succession planning.

In addition, he is a sought-after motivational speaker and retreat facilitator having recently been invited to be the keynote speaker at the FBI National Leadership Conference by Christopher Wray in April, 2024.

Dennis’ experience working with hundreds of nonprofit organizations has provided him with the knowledge and insights to understand the competencies required of today’s nonprofit leadership, whether as chief executive officer, chief operating officer or chief development officer.

This certificate program is intended for those individuals who are committed to volunteering their time as a member of a nonprofit organization’s board of trustees or directors and the CEOs who lead them. This program is intended for both new and current members of your board. The goal of this certificate is to provide you with the knowledge of what is needed to become a great nonprofit board and a deeper understanding of the nature of board leadership. Completion of this certificate will enable every nonprofit to achieve a higher level of performance and bring even greater value to those you serve.

What does it cost?

$1,750 per individual; $2,900 for two individuals from the same organization

It is strongly recommended that the CEO/executive director and the board chair/president attend together if possible.
