Join us for our inaugural film Sunset Boulevard (1950) which won three Academy Awards and later inspired a hit Broadway musical. It’s considered to be one of the greatest movies ever made. Be ready for your “close-up” on Norma Desmond’s Grand Staircase in our themed photo booth! Arrive at 2:30PM to hear preshow music performed by Ian Fraser on the Mighty Wurlitzer theatre organ! About the Film: A struggling screenwriter, Joe Gillis (William Holden), stumbles into the world of reclusive silent film star Norma Desmond (Gloria Swanson), who believes she’s still a major star and enlists him to write her comeback script, trapping him in her delusional world. The movie features Swanson's legendary silent-era contemporaries Erich von Stroheim, Buster Keaton, Anna Q. Nilsson, Hedda Hopper, H. B. Warner and Cecil B. DeMille portraying themselves.
