SBH Workshop- Cultural Connections

Description

Presented by Literacy Volunteers of Somerset County, this interactive workshop will provide tools that you can use to promote diversity and inclusion, cross-cultural dialogue, and cultural sensitivity. We will touch on common cultural misunderstandings around etiquette, eye contact, personal space, compliments, small talk, gestures, time, communication styles, and more.

Culture influences the way we communicate and see the world, but cultural misunderstandings can result in miscommunication and conflict. Participants will learn ways to increase effective cross-cultural communication and improve teamwork in diverse workplace settings.
