DESCRIPTION:Everyone Has the Power to Save a Life Learn how to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose during this free Naloxone Training at the Somerset County Business Partnership Hub. Offered in a hybrid format\, participants can attend either in person or virtually. During the training\, participants will learn how to recognize an overdose\, administer Narcan  (naloxone) nasal spray\, perform rescue breathing when necessary\, understand New Jersey's Good Samaritan Law\, and explore overdose prevention and harm reduction strategies. Everyone who completes the training will receive a free Narcan  kit. Location: Somerset County Business Partnership Hub\, 50 Division Street\, Suite 400\, Somerville\, NJ 08876 Format: In Person or Virtual These trainings are provided by HEAL Somerset Harm Reduction Center in partnership with the Somerset County Department of Human Services and Richard Hall Community Health and Wellness Center.
